What is BRD?

BRD is looking to become one of the worlds largest decentralized financial organizations in the world! The team at BRD has recently found that individuals want to rely on centralized financial institutions much less than before- it can be hard to trust people in today's day & age! BRD is the intermediary for this by building a platform where they have no ownership of people's money or data, since it is decentralized, and allow their users to use their BRD wallet completely free of charge! This wallet is available on both iOS and Android devices.

The Team

When creating a platform that is completely free to use, and has an simple, yet elegant UI, there must be a solid team behind them! I will focus in on three of their team members, as well as one of their advisors.

Aaron Voisine. Mr. Voisine first helped co-found BRD back in 2015, and hasn't looked back since! Before starting up with BRD, he has previous work experience in different tech positions, such as working as a consultant for iOS, helping to found an organization called Lightt, as well as working as the Dev lead for Yammer, inc.

Adam Traidman. Mr. Traidman is definitely a great person to have lead the BRD organization considering he has plentiful experience in the past working as a CEO for two different companies- WearSens & Chipestimate.com! He has also done consulting work, as well as a position in sales. Having Adam lead the helm for BRD definitely gives investors as well as users on their platform something to be proud of.

Last but not least, Aaron Lasher. Mr. Lasher is currently the standing CMO for BRD, and was one of the co-founders, along with Mr. Traidman and Mr. Voisine. It is definitely easy to notice that he is doing a phenominal job helping to promote their platform, their community and users on their app have exploded over the last month or so from the airdrop they have been promoting! This was a great use of funds to help build a huge BRD family! Mr. Lasher has great experience in the tech world, and has a massive amount of connections to allow the BRD application to continue to flourish.

One of the advisors for BRD I wanted to keen in on is Charlie Lee. He is the Founder of Litecoin. Having this type of advisor on their board will be extremely beneficial for them as he has an extremely successful coin, and will be able to help them through any rough patches they might encounter.

The Platform

In the crypto world, one of the most widely known apps for storing cryptocurrencies is Coinbase. The huge annoyance and problem with the Coinbase platform is they have extremely limited coins that you can purchase, as well as horrible support for their platform!! You also have no control over your private keys so you never receive the tokens from the hard forks (BTC holders finally received BCH from Coinbase after almost 3-4 months after the fork). With BRD, you have complete control over your funds, and it isn't a centralized system like Coinbase- and you can store a plethora of different ERC-20 tokens as well as BTC, & ETH.

Enough talk about how annoying, and awful Coinbase is, lets focus on BRD and their platform!!

BRD's backend usability is pretty interesting as it functions as a P2P platform and BRD has no control over the private keys on each individual's device. This means that you have full control over all of your funds, and you don't need worry about your cryptocurrencies being stolen!! The BRD application allows for the different coins to access their relative public blockchain, whether it is on Ethereum's or Bitcoin's. Also, in order to send funds, there needs to be authorization completed first in order to do so.

When you first start up BRD, whether it is on either their iOS application or Android device- found on both the App Store and Google Play, you will notice the beautiful user interface. In order to keep security at a maximum, you are required to have a "paper key" in case you lose your device and need to access your BRD wallet from a new phone/mobile device. This helps to keep your funds safe and secure. Don't worry, if you end up losing your device where the BRD wallet is installed, no one can access your funds without knowing your personal PIN number you created.

The Roadmap

One of the accomplishments on that isn't explained more into detail on their roadmap is the Augustus phase. This has probably been one of their biggest improvements to the BRD platform/application as it has given users the ability to store a ton of different ERC-20 tokens in their BRD wallet! Some of the main features that were added are: ERC20 token functionality, digital asset trading, wallet management, and have added their rewards program (I mention this in "The Token" section).

Looking forward, one of the awesome features I am looking forward to is coming later this year- in the 4th quarter of 2018. The two additions coming to their platform are the ability to pay your bills as well as P2P lending! This will definitely be a huge addition to their application, and will definitely make the cryptocurrencies in their wallet much easier to use in terms of paying and receiving funds!

The Token

When they first had their ICO, there were 88,862,718 BRD tokens issued (if you want to check out the token's code on Etherscan you can find it here).

Since the BRD application is completely free to use, what is the point of having a BRD token? By having the BRD token, you will be able to access exclusive perks within the BRD application. This can include giveaways, completing surveys to receive BRD, social media giveaways, and even airdrops! This helps to give the users on the platform incentive to own the BRD token as it can essentially give you free money through their rewards program!
