With the sun rising you set out to explore north along the beach. Before doing so you decided to gaze off into the ocean for a while. You still can’t get over seeing a real ocean in person. Let alone the calming sounds as the waves crash on the shoreline.

After a while, you start to notice there are a lot of bubbles coming up from deeper in the water. While you take a few steps into the water to see if you can investigate it you quickly slope down off the shoreline shelf. The water as you recalled from the quick swim you had the night before gets rather deep quickly. So you can’t just dive down to it without a space suit on.

(You could decide to do so, but, only if you have been caught doing something you should not have been. If you have no idea what is being talked about it's best just to skip down to the next paragraph as this is not for you unless the cost of doing this means something to you. If it does then investigate the water bubbles (cost 1 unit of oxygen) further. This however would require you to put on your space suit as you will be taking a bit of a dive. If you decide not to. Don’t cheat and go on your way to explore the beach heading north. )

After looking at the rising bubbles for a while you realize there are other bubbles not that far away. It would seem this was a bit more common of a thing than you first had thought. It was now time to head north.

The first hour of the walk was uneventful. You have already done this walk before so it’s no shock there was nothing new to discover along the way. At one point you do take a short break to sit down on the sand and enjoy the landscape.

You put your fingers through the sand and pull when you close your fist only sand. This place is so clean, so untouched, there was only pure sand. You rolled a few grains of it between your fingers before getting up and continuing on the walk.

This part of the shoreline started to slope up slightly. There were also giant boulders of rocks scattering parts of the beach. It’s no wonder the computer did not give this spot as a possible landing area. There might not have been enough room for the ship.

You continue to walk for a few more hours heading further north. At some point, you will need to consider turning around and heading back. At least the great thing about a longer daytime than the earth is you are not in any rush. It would however be stupid to get trapped out here during the dark time. Finding your way back would be quite difficult.

After further walking, you noticed along the shoreline is a giant rock that is sticking out. You walk further close to it to investigate. By this time of the day, it is now low tide. Without the water there you realize it is a cave entrance.

Do you enter the cave to investigate it further or continue walking to see if any else is of interest? While the cave appears to be safe for now. Once the tide comes in it will not want to be a place you end up getting stuck in. While you are certain that the tide is still receding if the information you have on tide cycles is rather limited. It at least appears you should have a few hours. Investigate the water cave or continue walking.

You decided to continue walking. The beach seemed to go on forever. It would become quite easy to get lost as it looked mostly the same in all directions if it was not for the clusters of rock formations that scattered the coastline.

One thing you have realized by now was the lack of wildlife. Sure you had trees and plants. As far as animals were concerned they were not to be found anywhere. At one point you even stopped and dug a small hole just to see if anything was hiding in the sands of the beach. Still, not a creature was found.

After far too much walking it seemed nothing of greatness was accomplished. You looked down at your wristwatches and realized you better start heading back to the shelter now. It was going to be quite a long walk back and you might not get there before nightfall.

You take one last look around before deciding to turn around. Some of your footprints by now were beginning to be washed away as the tide came in.

While it was quite a long walk back it was also an uneventful one. Another day spent finding nothing of importance. I guess you don't know what you were expecting. Like some hidden treasure in a cave or something left behind by aliens.

Before you fully make it back it starts to get rather dark. If it was not for the light pouring out of your spaceship you might have missed the emergency shelter you had put in the first place. You quickly eat a food cube for calling it a night.

Continue.
