I can imagine Dbooks allowing authors to write books chapter at a time as steem posts and dbooks site or app auto compiling the posts into a PDF for users to automatically download once the authors book is complete :D and maybe we encourage authors to simply ALWAYS at LEAST have something to upvote thats on steem once a week, so that at any given time, a user who reads and enjoys your posts can always be given one of your mroe RECENT posts to upvote... they could have a system that automaticallly finds the most recent Upvotable posts from an author to make it very easy to upvote them, so if you like an OLD post you can upvote it AND upvote a NEW post by them! This could be a way an author can keep making residuals....
but steem does need a way for content creators to earn residuals on their works :D
