Scientists have found a cheap and effective way of making hydrogen fuel by water. Scientists of the University of Arkansas and Aragon National Lab of the United States found that nickel and iron nano particle may be a better option for other expensive catalysts.
Scientists found that the process of fission of water increases with the help of micro-catalysts of nickel and iron. Hydrogen and oxygen atoms dissociate from fragmentation and then hydrogen gas is formed by acting on the electron.
Scientists told that nano particles of iron and nickel are helpful in speeding up the process. The biggest thing is that nickel and iron are very cheap options compared to other catalysts. The success of this process will be helpful in establishing a more practical way of building hydrogen and oxygen in future by the erosion of water.
