Since Hurricane Harvey first hit Texas over the weekend, I've been studiously avoiding weather reports and most hurricane related news. This evening, after finishing my Tuesday workout, doing a little housework and taking a shower, I settled down to relax in my room and fought the urge to fast-forward through the network news. As I watched the ABC World News Tonight , I also browsed my GoComics favorites and found two outstanding editorial cartoons in the Pulitzer Prize Winners section—one by Walt Handelsman and the other by Clay Bennett.
I decided to share them here...

and a List of Charities
Walt Handelsman is an editorial cartoonist for The Advocate in New Orleans. He has twice won the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning, in 1997 with the Times-Picayune and in 2007 for Newsday. Source: Wikipedia

Wonderful. How many of the readers get irony? Must see his cartoons. Thank you for sharing will follow. JV
Not sure which artist you were referring to but I assume it's the second one with the Red and Blue guys holding the banner. Yes, that cartoon is ironic, but nowadays irony in the news is plentiful: http://www.ironictimes.com/
Yes it was and I agree about the news and I'm not talking of fake news! Good luck in the years ahead.
