Do I have the permission to quit?

The challenging business environment has started to take a toll on many, physically, mentally and financially. Where each person trying to get back on their feet each morning, in hope to prove himself/herself in this cruel world, corporates smiles as their expenses reduce.
'It's just a job, you will get another in no time' is a common phrase which I hear everywhere, nowadays.
Well! it is not just a 'job'. We depend so much on our jobs, not just financially but emotionally as well. We drive power, security, mental peace, satisfaction, happiness (sometimes), faith, trust, belief out of it. Then suddenly, HR comes and hand over you a pink slip with no prior notice.
And suddenly, all our insecurities are back. Standing right next to us, grinning. We look here and there, try to access the information which is been bombarding on us. And the next line HR says is that you have one week.
And there you go! corporates win like always. And another part of the human soul is crushed and beaten, again. He/she may never be able to fix that.
No! I am not saying that stop firing people. I understand how business world work. There should be no emotion involved.
Beep! Beep! Reminder "We still don't have robots working for us"
Humans are working for you still. And they have emotions. Humans are all about emotion. Do not forget that.
Yes, I know you are running into losses. Then stop faking around! stop demotivating your employees. There is always a better way to fire an employee. Even talking politely will do.
Well, for that you need a better HR, who understand and connects with employees.
Understand that you are going to dent a person's confidence for life. You think they will find another job. But remember that humanity will bleed out of his/her system slowly.
Ever wondered, why few became terrorist? why so much hatred they have? how come they have such courage to kill someone?
Its because humanity was snatched from them. if you dig their past you would find horrendous events that happened with them which further led to this chaos.
No! I am not defending terrorism here, I am against it. No matter what, no reason can justify killing. Neither I am provoking employees to stand in protest for your organisation.
All I am saying is it works like a ripple. Like Butterfly effect, one small event can have a very big impact on someone's life.
Think before you take hasty decisions. Make sure that they understand your position and only then they can understand why you did that with them. Fire people if that takes to save your business but do not hurt feelings, make sure you state your reason right. Make sure that you feel compassion. Make sure that you feel guilty that you couldn't provide what was expected out of your organization.
Do not leave humanity behind!
