Happy 2026 HPUD.....

I just powered up another couple hundred Hive today for Jan 1 HPUD, taking me to around 159.5K Hive Power, and this rounds of a right good time stacking more Hive this last three weeks or so.

I had a nice stack of HBDs and I unstaked a couple of K and have bought around another 8K Hive and powered that up, I can't help myself when Hive drops below $0.10 - and I think there are plenty of us defending that price line too.

I think the lowest buy I got was just under $0.09 which I am pretty happy with...

It's a weird feeling when the crypto markets are crabbing sideways and Hive just feels like it's down, down, down, one is kind of conflicted as it's a great opportunity to stack more Hive, but obviously the value of your Vest going down is not great to see.

Not just about the money...

I mean obviously it is about the money, but Hive isn't only about the money, remember all of that wonderful stuff about decentralised control meaning no one person controls the chain, unlike legacy social media accounts, that's worth something don't forget!

And in terms of money there is the wonderful and rare functionality of being able to pay people anywhere in the world instantly for no fees.

And it is just enjoyable, right, a bit of interaction more or less carefree with others all around the world.

And many people have had their fun with experimenting with the second layer, largely on a low or defunct now, but many of us have had fun and made some money along the way....

An easy side hustle....

Maybe that's how to view Hive, the best way to view it if you're a blogger.... just blog, Vest, and make a few quid, cash a little out, keep most of it in and enjoy it.....

A bit of social interaction, a bit of tech learning, and a few pints cashed out every month.

And if HIVE does moon, well good on us, if it doesn't, so be it!

Oh and I think I managed a post every day for 2025 but no idea where my badge is, the yearly badge has now resent to 1/365!

Like every other crypto commentator on the planet I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen with Bitcoin, Hive, or any other crypto, so just have a punt and enjoy the ride!
