HPB - The fastest Blockchain

in #hpb6 years ago

Last week I tried to send ETH to my friend and it took almost a day to confirm my transaction. There was option to send ETH in shorter time but for that I had to pay higher gas price and I was not ready for that. I was not at all happy, but this is not the first time I faced this issue. Most of the time whenever there is surge in number of transaction either we need to wait for long time or we need to pay high gas price. And worst part is sometime transaction is getting lost. Every day thousands of new people joining the crypto world and there is continuous transaction load on existing blockchain. Low transaction speeds and excessive latency plague blockchain networks around the world, this is very annoying, and I was thinking why no one is trying to solve this issue? Now it’s time that we need new platform which can support high number of TPS and it takes very less transaction confirmation time.

The answer could be HPB, High Performance Blockchain (HPB) is a new approach to solving one of the most critical problems facing all blockchains today: scaling. HPB will solve this problem and meet true business needs by creating a platform designed to handle not 10K, 100K but millions of transactions per second and guess what, confirmation time will be just three seconds. Awesome! Right?

With a target of 1 million TPS and a 3-second confirmation time, HPB aims to become the standard for all major business applications in industries that require handling of billions of data points with extremely low latency. HPB platform consist of both hardware and software architecture which will not only solve the problem of low TPS and high transaction confirmation price but will also take care of other critical issues which current blockchain network is facing such as, difficulty in developing DAPPs, poor security, etc.

HPB is a new blockchain architecture, positioned as an easy-to-use, high-performance blockchain platform. It aims to extend the performance of distributed applications to meet real-world business needs.
The architecture consists of two parts: hardware architecture and software architecture. The software architecture provides accounts, identity and authorization management, policy management, databases, and asynchronous communication on thousands of CPUs, FPGAs or clustered program schedules. This is a new architecture that can support millions of transactions per second and support authorizations within seconds.
It is a fusion of the HPC (High Performance Computing) blockchain concept, cloud computing, hardware systems with distributed core nodes, an HPC-powered universal communication network, and an HPC-powered cloud platform. In addition to network management, the architecture supports core node blockchain standards, and consensus algorithm and blockchain task processing functions. The core node includes a hardware acceleration engine embedded with software

BOE -
For traditional blockchain nodes, functions such as transaction broadcasting, transaction verification, block broadcasting, and block packaging are all implemented on the software level. The data connection between each node is a serial process, resulting in problems such as complex network topology, long delay time and low serial processing performance. In response to the above problems, HPB created a new technological innovation: Blockchain Offload Engine (BOE). The BOE is a heterogeneous processing system, including hardware, firmware, and corresponding matching software. To achieve high performance and high concurrency computing acceleration, this heterogeneous processing system combines CPU serial capabilities and parallel processing capabilities of FPGA/ASIC chips.

The BOE acceleration engine can achieve considerable concurrency connections while maintaining support for more than 10,000 simultaneous TCP sessions and processing 10,000 sessions in parallel. This will greatly reduce the number of distributed network layers. Dedicated parallel processing hardware will take over traditional software serial processing functions, such as transaction data broadcasts, unverified block broadcasts across the network, transaction confirmation broadcasts, and so on. The session response speed and the session maintenance numbers are more than 100 times that of the general computing platform node.

HPB Token Introduction –
HPB token initialization total supply is just 100 million. Based on the HPB consensus algorithm, a high contribution node (hcnode) has the right to generate a block.
Three necessary conditions for becoming a high contribution node (hcnode) are:
• Adopt BOE hardware acceleration engine.
• Hold a certain number of HPB tokens.
• Contribute to the necessary network bandwidth for the entire system.

After HPB launches its Mainnet, the high contribution node (hcnode) that generates the block will receive HPB Coin rewards automatically issued by the system. The additional number of coin reward issued annually by the system is proportional to the total number of high contribution nodes and candidate nodes. The number of additional issuances does not exceed 6% per year.

I think it would benefit many applications especially in ecommerce. I see that it only takes few seconds to get a confirmation unlike current popular networks.

Yea, the current blockchain architecture is really redundant, slow with network clogs, so projects like the HPB is highly needed to ease up the issues associated with the blockchain industry

Who ever has felt frustrated with the clogging of network in the present blockchain tech will see how valid the HPB idea is.

Low confirmation time will also be what really sets the entire platform ahead, but it will also be what keeps fees low, as theirs no need to compete for space and drive prices up if the entire network is this fast

Speed and cost effectiveness is what drives me nuts about this whole project, as the community really need this to fully come to life

A blockchain simply has to get to the stage where it can confirm in seconds and not charge you a high fee, it will never go mainstream so to speak without it

This was suppose to be the beauty of the blockchain couple with its decentralized nature but somehow this wasn't realized however we could only hope for the better

yeah, they could essentially become the payment gateway of choice for e-commerce if they do manage to achieve 1 million TPS.

At current times, I wouldn't understand why it wouldn't if they can reach 1 million TPS and confirmation time within 3 seconds.

That is a huge thing for different businesses especially ecommerce. Imagine getting a confirmation almost instantly.

yeah, speed is very important to many businesses like financial sector. i believe HPB will help change the way blockchain is used

With the high transcations per second made possible with HPB - it will certainly change the way we see blockchain

Yes, The BOE acceleration engine might b able to improve the transaction speed and confirmation time.

Nice article, from your article I see the BOE accelerator engine sure do have lots of potentials.

Yes the article says the BOE acceleration engine can achieve considerable concurrency connections while maintaining support for more than 10,000 TCP. Which is fascinating.

"HPB aims to become the standard for all major business applications in industries that require handling of billions of data points with extremely low latency." they can achieve this if there are capable of pulling this off.

Well if they get close to their 1 million TPS mark I can see it happening, i guess time will tell when we start to see more traffic on the network.

The talking point about hpb is the 1 million TPS. Is this realistic at this time?

HPB will solve the problem of slow network speeds and expensive transaction costs with their brand new blockchain.

HPB is a project we all have to watch out for. They have something good to offer.

thanks for this article. it was worth the time to read it.
Since the release of BOE I am more and more enthusiastic about HPB

I think not only you! Thousands of people are watching the further development of HPB and what comes next.

Yeah... The BOE release was what dragged my attention into wanting to partake in hpb vision.

Funny enough the value currently for hpb is very low compare to what is coming in the later future

No doubt i was shocked how low it is this is nuts for a project with these features, especially one thats already shown off hardware, i don't get whats keeping it depressed beyond just people not knowing the project yet

i like the low price, i buy more and more tokens and in 2-3 years I'm going to retire :-)

Yes, now is the right moment to purchase some HPB tokens. With project development, they will definitely grow in price.

Value of token will go up once they release the testnet, many people thinking its not easy to achieve 1 million TPS.

Very less confirmation time is very great feature of HPB. HPB will solve lot of the blockchain problems in future.

A big benefit as to why HPB could be successful with the very small confirmation time and high number of TPS

That's great after HPB launches its Mainnet that generates the block will receive HPB Coin rewards automatically issued by the system.

That seems nice thanks fir sharing this info.
