Thank you for this reminder! It reflects my experience here, but sometimes I‘m too focused on my own posts to get out there commenting.
A good idea could be to comment on posts of your active followers, because they will remember coming back to you and there it’s most likely to find likeminded people who like your content too.
That's an awesome tip! Most of my most active followers are on a list in my head, and I go to their blog about once a day to make sure I catch everything they wrote. I don't comment on everything just for the sake of commenting, and I can't upvote everything or I would have no power, but I've come to consider these people my friends. I feel like their material deserves a thorough read and a thoughtful comment. Just like I would like them to read my stuff.
In case you didn't notice, I really really love the incentivized support aspect of Steemit. I get out what I put in, like in life.

That’s similar for me. I have a list in my head with people I check on a daily basis and who are my steemit friends, but when I wrote this, I thought of going even further and checking if there are others who would also deserve recognition.
I have to check that tool again that shows me the most active and most influential followers. Unfortunately I forgot the name. I hope my computer will know it.😉
