Sometimes, you might have to consider leaving your current job. It can be due to various reasons such as low salary, fewer facilities or a crazy boss etc. Quitting a job is not good unless you have an alternative job ready for you. Though you can quit your job however you want but what matters is, how gracefully you act while handing a resignation letter to your boss.
You should never close the doors of opportunities for the lifetime. Quitting a job by giving a resignation letter to the hand of your boss in angry mood closes the door of future opportunities from the same company. You never know when you might have to apply back to that office, right? Well, we can't predict the future.

No matter what happened to you, just never forget that good moral behavior is always good for yourself. Maybe you're quitting the job due to low salary, but you act gracefully in front of your boss and considering your behavior, what if he offers much better salary than before? Well, there are plenty of more advantages of good moral behavior. In this article, we are going to discuss how you can quit your job gracefully.
# 1 - Look For An Alternative Job & Make Sure You're Ready To Resign:
When you don't have any other alternative, it's a good idea to keep doing your current job or else you'll be unemployed and you never know how long you'll remain unemployed. Quitting your job when you don't have any alternative will put you in some serious troubles and you might regret your decision later.
Don't just look for an opportunity. Make sure that you are passed in your interview and the employer is ready to make you his employee. Never trust words like "Quit your current job, my friend is the CEO of a company, he will surely make you his employee". You can only consider yourself ready to quit when you've passed your interview and the only barrier is your current job.
# 2 - Complete All The Work That's Due To You:
It's important to finish the work that is due to you before handing your resignation letter to the boss. In this article, I am assuming that the reason for quitting a job is low salary. Therefore, it's a nice idea to complete all your due work and maintain high ratings in the eyes of your boss so that if you might have to join again someday, you could request him in that reference.
Also, it is better to inform your intention of quitting to the manager so that they could try to find an alternative worker to replace you. It is very important if you don't want to lose the trust of your current boss and the manager because otherwise, it could result in a headache for the boss and the manager. And you might not even get your salary for that month. Make sure to read the company's policies though.
# 3 - Contact The Boss Privately:
It's not a good idea to show your resignation letter to other colleagues before discussing your resignation with the boss. It's much better to contact the boss privately and talk about your resignation to him. Remember, you need to be as positive as possible for the reasons. Honesty should be your preference. If the boss is asking you personally the reason why you want to quit, then explain your current situation. For example: If you believe that you're receiving a low salary from the company and your expenses are more than your current salary, then explain to the boss that you can't work on low salary due to this reason.
There is every possibility that your boss will offer some increment to you and try to retain you as an employee if you're good enough. You must be prepared to answer the offer on the spot or if you don't wanna do that, maybe ask 24 hours to think of your boss?
When you quit your job carefully, it becomes a memorable experience not only for you but also for the boss. It is always nice to have a good level of trust. And maybe when you apply for the third job and the employer of that company contacts your first company (from where you left just now), your ex-boss will be forced to speak good about you.
This is something I must do tomorrow, thankfully it is just a viability thing, and this month was a probation run. What I have learned and you will find this wisdom will be echoed by many men that have walked down these avenues.
Be transparent, tell your boss when you start looking for another job as soon as you decide to do so. Even before your notice. site the reasons as to why this is the case, your employers may make an effort to alleviate the problems that have disgruntled you.
I also encourage you to take this advice to more than your dealings with your employer. An early no prevents much of the pain of killing expectations and causing disappointment with a late no. Besides this, this is a building block of being assertive and having integrity.
Good evening to you.
