Two steps on how to Talk Effectively.... in 5 mins or so..

in #how8 years ago

Communication is a process of sharing meanings and passing information. It is sending a message that can affect one’s knowledge, attitude, and behavior. The purpose of communication is the reach of mutual understanding between two people, they communicate to agree what both of them are talking about thus reaching the point of convergence.

Here are two steps on how to talk effectively to people without putting much effort into it, I guarantee that these steps will help you a lot no matter on how you use it, whether in having a negotiation or having a heated discussion with your mom.

Step one: Observe and approach

Remember the goal of communication is mutual understanding so you need to approach. Observe what his/her interests are, and use it to open up the discussion so they will feel more comfortable about it. Finally talk or present your ideas in a good manner of course if you shout or show that you are somewhat afraid, it might not go down to what you are expecting.

Step two: Listen, Respond and Maintain Control

If you did the first step and it went pretty well, proceed to this step. I’m sure that you would get a reply from who are you talking to, so you need to listen to whatever he/she is saying, and respond to it, you need to make the person you are talking to feel welcome as you accept his/her ideas and respond to it, that way you have a lot of other things to say rather than, “the flowers are beautiful isn’t it?”. To show you a little bit more here is a cycle that might help you do this, You must first recognize the problem, then gain control of it by suggesting solution to the problem and of course after that is solving the problem, and finally maintain control, whatever the problem is being solved you have to maintain it, if its money makes sure you have it budgeted or if it’s a relationship problem, then do your best not to do it again.

That’s the two steps that will surely help you talk effectively, that’s all and thank you for reading.
