One of the most asked questions I get about Steemit.com is "how do you cash out?".
After my friends sign up for Steemit and start creating Content that earns them value, they always ask... How do I sell this steem or my SteemDollars for btc or usd?
The process is so easy even I can do it, and here's how.
- sign up for Steemit.com
- create or curate content
- earn value via steem or SteemDollars
- sign up for a bitpay visa
- go to blocktrades.us
- set receive currency to steem or SD
- set send currency to btc
- provide bitpay btc address
- open bitpay/ visa and sell btc for usd
- spend anywhere visa is accepted

i doubt that cashing out btc makes sense with current fees unless you are transacting more than 5k.

Here's my approach. I sort the tags by payout. Then I go down the list starting from highest payout and I start picking appropriate tags. Avoid irrelevant tags so you don't get flagged. This approach will increase your exposure. "how" as a tag has like 3 posts in the last hour. "to" as a tag the same. "sell" as a tag has you in the last five hours. See what I'm saying? Using my approach one result would be: steem; cryptocurrency; money; crypto; education. You could be more aggressive than that but your exposure would be much bigger than your original tags for sure.

But it is also about Owned vs non-owned systems
All we the users, need is an "app" so I can pay you or the merchant.

This is how were get our non crypto friends into steemit tho... They way $ but they will end up learning crypto. I see you but I know people and if you show them how to get cash from an ATM from posting on steemit they will end up loving crypto.
Agreed. the cash part is a big draw card.
But assuming my coffee shop takes crypto and so does my landlord as they both have an "app"
I just transfer crypto as needed.
I don't need FIAT unless I want to deal with someone still on that old system.
