A glimpse of myself

Let me introduce my self. I am currently settled in the Middle East with my family. Both I and wife are working in the private sector. Small and Happy family.

Tragedy

I had a great life. Everything changed in March 2017. I had a critical accident which left me paralyzed below my waist. I had to spend almost two months in the hospital for treatment which drained all my savings and breaking my spirit as well.

In the initial days, most of my friends visited me at regular intervals. Gradually their visits reduced and I was left in the dark with no job and a half-dead body. In the meantime, I was continuing with my physiotherapy sessions. My doctor was concerned with lack of progress as I was not fighting from the inside. People who have gone through this stage can easily understand the frustration and hopelessness that a person feels. 

Months passed with no hope and I was almost on the edge of suicide.

And then Crypto happened  !!!!!!!!!

Till previous October 2017, I was unaware of cryptocurrencies. To be honest, I have heard about bitcoin and all but never bothered to check on them as I never felt any interest in it.

One day one of my friends called me inquiring about Bitcoin. His laptop was affected by a Ransomware. His laptop was locked out and he was asked to pay in bitcoins in order to regain access. Since I had a technical background he wanted my help to sort this out and my journey in crypto begin.

I started inquiring about cryptocurrency, how and where to buy it etc. The more I read, the more fascinated I became. Then there was no turning back.

The first cryptocurrency I brought was Bitcoin for my friend. It was kind of hard as the Middle East was not ready for crypto market yet. We have to find a seller first. Luckily I had a friend in the UK who was dealing with Bitcoins. Transferred some money to his bank account and he helped us with some bitcoin in return. The Bank transfer to his account took three days with a large fee ( I have to spend $20 transfer charge and he received $30 dollars less due to the back end charges). When he transferred Bitcoin back it just happened in an hour time with less than $5 charges. Wow !!!!

I started researching more about blockchain projects and all. My friend helped me to set up an account with an exchange and my journey in crypto started. 

Since I was already broke, I didn't have much to invest. With the little amount I had, I brought Ripple( $0.22), Litecoin( $52), and Tron($0.002), within two months I was able to sell all those for high profits. Wait a sec, if you think this story is about money and returns crypto brought then you are mistaken. What crypto has given is much beyond that.

In the meantime, I started researching more about crypto and the amazing dreams it's building up. I started to participate in various discussion forums in the Telegram, Reddit, and Twitter. Made a lot of friends, learned and unlearned a lot, started blogging and writing about what all I have understood.

At last, I found a purpose in life, A will to live and a Promise to wake up every day !!!!

Crypto is not just LAMBO's

For most of the people, crypto means "When Lambo", "When moon" and to be rich overnight. But for some people like me, Crypto is beyond that.  it was a ray of hope in the darkness. In the past, I was afraid of mornings as my wife has to leave for work and I have to spend lonely 10 hours at home waiting for her to come back. With crypto in life, I was not lonely. I had a lot of community members supporting me, talking to me, discussing the markets as well as new happenings around. It kept me occupied and my spirit alive.

This positive change reflected in my treatment as well. With the help of money I made from crypto, I was able to get better treatment. My condition improved drastically. With this progress, my doctor is sure that I will be able to start walking in a couple of months. 

Now I am part of various help groups of people with the similar physical condition. I have taught them about crypto, how to trade and how to do your own research etc. I helped them to find hope again. I am happy to see them getting more involved and in that journey becoming self-sufficient as well.

Yes, my friend. Crypto is not just LAMBO's !!!!
