Hello! We're the Wade's (Jay & Shannon) from Tennessee! (Well, we live in Tennessee, I am from Missouri and my lovely wife is from Arkansas!) We have 4 kids, Cortnie, Kendra, Wyatt, and Colter. This past August we closed on our small almost 5 acre homestead with the purpose of living a more self sustaining life style. We are still planning a lot of our projects but have already gotten started on raising rabbits for meat, pelts, and show. We also have 4 meat hogs, laying hens and a turkey. A week before Christmas we will be bringing home two nubian goats, a doe and doeling.
Some of our plans for 2018 include raising a litter of pigs, a year supply of meat chickens, growing a nice garden, canning, planting some fruit trees, and a herb garden or two!
I am an Army veteran and stay at home dad currently, while my wife is currently active duty Army.

Thank you! We are still learning and in the beginning of our projects but so far it has been a blast! We are also still figuring out how to use steemit! We have never used youtube either (We watched videos but never thought about being content creators or anything. But we want to try!
