RE: Our Farmstead Journey Part 3: Finding a Way to Make it Pay

@greenshiner - your write up is impressive. Mad respect for sticking through all the hardships, many people would have quit much earlier. I noticed you mentioned how you were wondering what your client was thinking after you didn't deliver as promised and I can tell you...this type of self-talk can turn for the worst quick. So many "what ifs" start creeping in, but I'm thankful they did reach out to you after that peaceful hike with the family. One suggestion that's worked for me is to make sure to befriend someone within your client's company (who isn't the key decision maker) and get on a text message basis with them. This person can then give you a pulse on the status of the deals you're trying to close. Without this person, you'll always be wondering what's next. Feel free to ping me if you ever want to talk war stories. Cheers, Jon.

Thanks Jon. That's some good advice. It never hurts to have a friend on the inside. Going forward I've always tried to be careful what I promise people. And not just clients, but friends and family as well. 'Do what you say and say what you do.' Glad to have you in the Steemit community!

Thanks for the warm welcome!
