I wish I had worked towards becoming debt free much earlier in my life. Knowing what I do now. But I had a different mindset back then. I'm debt free today and will never go back to that old life of working but nit owning anything.

Years ago, when my kids were teenagers I would explain to them how long they would have to work for a (blank) purchase. They had jobs but never broke down how many hours they would have to work to pay for something. Two of them got the message but I still have one that thinks in payments. They will never be out of debt, never and that saddens me.
