RE: Our Farmstead Journey Part 3: Finding a Way to Make it Pay

in #homesteading7 years ago (edited)

We moved from Chicago to a farm community too. While we haven't started farming to sell yet, we have started growing our own food (at first with accidental pumpkins that may have been left out a little long after last Halloween). I was the farmers market manager in our community for a few years and learned a ton for the local growers. I would have loved to have a vendor that did microgreens. Glad to follow you!

Very cool. I can't tell you how many people I've met that have fled the city in search of greener pastures and a lower cost of living. Also, welcome to the Steemit Community! Glad to have a talented writer such as yourself on board.

Which market did you work for? (I'm actually looking to get into one or two on the north side of the city.)
