So this struck close to home for me as an X-techie who left corporate hell to start a homestead but couldn't give up internet access and technology in general. I have cameras up everywhere but mainly to view the wildlife. The first week we lived here we caught a bear on the front porch with our camera. (It's on dtube). I also use wifi switches, etc to control the fans and heat in our greenhouse as well as a camera in there to keep an eye on the plants. Next will be an automatic watering system.
