Its rainy and drenched here at the “Fuss & Feathers” homestead thanks to “Alberto.” Thankfully not at all like Hurricane “Irma”, this rain is nothing compared to her ferocity.
The gals have been boring of late, so today we’ll focus on the new chicks, they are very entertaining and sweet. Actually they are almost grown at this point, we have Jody and Buffy (Buff Orphingtions), Gracie (Cukoo Maran) and Red (Rhode Island Red.) The new chicks are now in the coop with the big girls.
Little Gracie will also provide us with chocolate colored eggs, a new variety to add to the brown, white, olive and hopefully blue eggs laid by the hens.

The Buffs are the sweetest lovely dovies, they run to me wanting affection and sit on me getting pets. Gracie the runt and Red are live wires, not so much into spreading the love. They are all just cute as can be!
Here are a few photos of the little ones...
A few of the big girls scratching and dust bathing in my newly spread mulch pile.
Have a great week and hope you enjoyed this weeks edition of the Chicken Gazette. Stay tuned for Issue #36...

Love your original names! My goats are my four legged kids so of course I name them! Happy to have found another animal mama
Wish I had a couple of goats too, but the girls are a handful. They are like children. Thanks for stopping by. 🐓🐓
Everybody is looking good! Thanks for the pictures.
Love those chocolate eggs! You are going to have a smorgasbord of coloured eggs soon. I am glad to hear that Alberto didn't do the same damage as Irma! You have a really nice looking flock of chickens, @mother2chicks!
Thanks my friend. They are a handful right now, but I think we are starting to get them all settled in. How are you holding up? 🐓🐓
We are holding up. I will update again shortly. It is a dog's breakfast.
Oh, the little ones are so adorable!
Such cute names! How do you come up with such clever names?
Hope you're all keeping warm and dry! Lots of love
Where oh where are you my friend? I so miss hearing from you. Thinking of you often. Wishing you the best. 🐓🐓
