Oh there certainly are. Many many cows! Though I am wondering about bullrushes and I know the fact that their cobs are edible, as well as their roots make a great stew, so the stalks might get experimented with as mulch. More research is a must!
And I very much enjoy reading your blog, it is quickly becoming one of my favourites :)
