RE: The Spring Crops Are Planted! - COME SEE THE HOMESTEAD GARDEN

If you like the PARA MAGNETIC ROCK DUST because it encourages microbial life maybe you should look into starting a small worm farm for yourself. I produce lots of castings but it is a large worm farm setup and would be to big for average growers and a smaller unit could work just fine. You won't produce enough castings to mix into your soil for planting all your crops with a smaller system but you could produce enough to make your own high quality worm teas. These work great for your plants and will increase your microbes faster then anything else. They will keep working for you way after the crops you put it on are gone continuing to improve your soil over time. I use rock dust in my bins and teas instead of my soil mixtures and I top feed the left over mixes from brewing my teas. I get the same great results without having to spread it all over the growing area which is more labor and more costly. Instead I add it all into my brews in smaller amounts and spray it on my crops. I even use this for my padlocks between rotating livestock to help my fodder crops grow. It keeps my cost lower and labor down for me.
