RE: FINALLY - WE GET TO MILK OUR OWN GOAT!

As a suggestion, [teaching you how to suck eggs]
Imagine a soft drinking straw, surrounded by flesh/meat of the correct size/shape to be a teat. The milk will flow into the top of the straw automatically, and there is a one-way valve at the bottom that is trying to hold the milk in and everything else out.
Try holding the hand, semi clenched, [join thumb and forefinger, then part them], place the hand with the thumb/forefinger just touching the udder.
Close the thumb/forefinger to prevent the milk in the teat returning to the udder, then progressively close middle, ring, little finger onto the palm, thus forcing the milk down the teat and into the bucket.
Relax the hand, allowing the milk to flow down the teat, and repeat until not much milk is coming out with each squeeze.
This will take a fair bit of practice to get right, but practice makes perfect.
Then to "strip" [get as much as you can] close the thumb and forefinger either side of the teat, close to the udder.
Holding the teat between these two bring the hand down to force the milk out of the end of the teat. Repeat until you get nothing.
With practice, you will be able to use two hands at the same time on diagonally opposite teats, Swap pairs when the flow decreases and notice how much the production increases during the pause.
Likewise with stripping,
