Hello Steemians,
On a visit to my brother's home last Sunday, we noticed some charming and beautiful lovebirds silting up his garden. I'm completely jealous!
Here are some pictures we took while touring around the garden.
"Let's Learn the Facts About LoveBirds"
Lovebirds is one of the most popular pet parrot species (genus agapornis) in the world. They're beautiful and intelligent little birds loved by many people for more than 100 years.
1* Lovebirds Don't Talk
Lovebirds are not the same with parrot talking birds as they do not mimic human sounds.
2* Types of Lovebirds
There are nine sub-species of these little parrots. Each has distinct traits and characteristics including Masked Lovebird, the Black-Cheeked Lovebird, the Fischer's Lovebird, The Nyasa Lovebird, the Swindern's Lovebird, the Red-Faced Lovebird, the Abyssinian Lovebird, the Madagascar Lovebird, and the most familiar, the beloved Peach-Faced Lovebird.
Peach-Faced Lovebird are identified by the rainbow colors of green, yellow and blue on their bodies, and has bright peachy-pink faces.
3* Pairing of Lovebirds
Lovebirds are known to be kept in pairs but there is no truth to this matter. The real score is that it is actually better for bird owners to keep single Lovebird. This is because lovebirds breed readily in captivity, and most bird owners are not capable of caring for an entire family. Also lovebird loves human interaction when not in pairs. So practically lovebird is affectionate and open to be handled by human hands.
4* Exceedingly Active Birds
Lovebirds are exceedingly active birds. They need to exercise their muscles in order to stay in top physical condition. So, if you decide to adopt lovebirds better find an ideal spot, find a larger cage for them to be able to exercise. Btw, lovebirds can live up to 20 years in captivity.
There you have it Ladies and Gentlemen! Hope you like it!
Ciao..
