Cold gloomy Monday morning
On Sunday, I was still not feeling very well. Really achey and exhausted. I think I got the kitchen cleaned up and a shower, but that was it.
Laundry day
On Monday I was slightly better but had exercise class. So I got going but not very fast. Laundry was started, and the kitchen almost cleaned up by the time I left for class.
I discovered that I had made a mess out of appointments and the rides to them. I managed to sort it out when I got home. It turned out I had an event at the Senior Center and fortunately, one of my messes resulted in the van arriving to take me, though that hadn’t been the plan.
I race around making a lunch and getting changed and went off to the event called Lunch and Learn. It was TED talks. The first was The Real Reasons for Brains. “Neuroscientist Daniel Wolpert starts from a surprising premise: the brain evolved, not to think or feel, but to control movement.” It was pretty interesting and amusing, but he spoke so fast it was hard to even read the captions to keep up, and I am a fast reader.
The second was Tom Thum: The Orchestra in My Mouth. “Beatboxer Tom Thum slings beats, comedy and a mouthful of instrumental impersonations.” It was fascinating the sounds he could make.
I was soon back home, changed over the laundry, finished the kitchen, and finally got to sit and rest.
Ground frozen rock hard
It was such a cold, windy, gloomy day I was glad to sit by the wood stove for the rest of it.
I did change out the Christmas playlist for something else in the morning. But I still enjoy the tree on these dark days. I’ll probably start it around mid month, after I take down the house decorations.
On Tuesday my helper friend is coming mid morning. He has errands to run and will probably finish the hall bookcase. I really should finish bills/budget before he comes and then work on the recycling box.
The contractor comes in the afternoon to teach me how to put roller switches into the candles lacking them and to pick up the lazy susan shelf for repair.
It’s supposed to be another gloomy cold day.
It could be the cold giving tiredness and also might be a latent flu... Hopefully things will get better!
Your really want to enjoy the Christmas tree decoration to the fullest 😃
I myself I do feel that Christmas will never end 😃
Sitting by the wood is one of the best things to do when one is cold
It’s really nice

Sorry about the flu
I guess the cold is too much and unbearable
Not flu, just a hey and exhausted. Much better today.
Hope that the bad weather and gloomy conditions had passed.
Still you had the energy to run around doing things and keeping appointments. I would just sleep when the body was complaining!
It's very annoying when the wind blows on a very cold day. After a very busy day, you got a chance to take some rest. That's very good. Enjoy yourself.
Your Christmas decorations looking so impressive and so well lighted up. So very attractive.
Sorry about the mess in the schedule, it was a very busy day for you, I think. Hope you are well rested now.
