Snow Again and Wrapping Presents - December 21, 2024 @goldenoakfarm

It was snowing lightly again when I got up on Saturday morning. Tiny dusting flakes but a lot of them. So they did make about an inch or so more snow on the ground and haze in the distance. It stopped about 8AM or 9AM.

I had a lot of help in the laundry room pulling up shades and finishing laundry.

I made a big mug of English breakfast tea and buckled down to finish wrapping presents.

The dining room table wasn’t usable because there was so much wrapping stuff on it. So the big things got done on the counter.

It took just over 2 hours to finish and clean up the mess. I reloaded the stoves and sat down for a while.

Around 11AM I got up and started work on the estate stuff. I did that for about 3 hours before quitting. I got some lunch and watched movies.

Tom took these 2 photos of the chowder. These were the ingredients I had sent over.

And the finished product on Saturday night. Their Solstice was very small, a fire in the front yard on Friday night, non-contaminated folks outside, or staying well away from Covid exposed ones if they came outside. Tom sent a cute photo of him kissing his grandson through window glass.

I got the fires going early as it’s to get very cold during the night, single digits.

On Sunday it’s to be sunny but not rising out of the teens. I realized I forgot to wrap Larry’s presents so I have to do that. I also have to pot up the amaryllis as the last bloom of the 8 it had has faded. And there’s always plenty of estate stuff to do.
