They look so similar to limes and when I read you said they were alternatives to other citrus fruits I knew they had the tart taste that I find so refreshing during the hot summer months.

Thank you @goldendawne in the vernacular it is called calamansi. and these have lots of uses especially in some food recipes. Yes, these are citrussy and alternatives to lemons and limes. These can even be used in mojitos and margaritas.
