Let's quickly take a look at my poultry at home.. Taking care of them has been my daily routine and it has a lot of benefits to friends and families.

This is what we refer to as local chicken in my country.It is called local because of the small structure compare to the hybrid . It is also known as local because of weather condition it can withstand, unlike the hybrid which has zero tolerance to extreme condition ( cold and heat )

It is also local because of low attention given to them when it comes to low or no hybrid feed.

It is local because of their ability to cross breed by themselves, lay eggs, hatch it and take care of their chicks without poultry keeper involvement.

BENEFITS DERIVED FROM CONSUMING LOCAL POULTRY MEAT

Local chicken has a unique taste because of different feeds and nutrient they are subjected to in the environment compare to hybrid chicken that depends on hybrid feed.

Local chicken serves has protein, high calcium and relatively low fat compare to hybrid chicken.

Local chicken egg are more nutritious than an hybrid egg

You can also have a male and famale chicken at you backyard to produce you own protein.
