ABBA (in Russian - ABBA) is a Swedish musical quartet that existed in 1972-1982 and was named after the first letters of the names of the performers: Agnetha Feltskog, Bjorn Ulveus, Benny Andersson, Annie-Frid Lingstad. It is one of the most successful bands in the history of popular music and the most successful of the ones created in Scandinavia: records of the band around the world were sold with a circulation of more than 350 million copies. The quartet's singles ranked first in the world charts from the mid-1970s ("Waterloo") to the early 1980s ("One of Us"), and the album-collections headed the world charts in the 2000s.
