EASY DIY automatic pig waterer with a pig nipple drinker. Using a food grade drum and pig drinker water nipples!

EASY DIY automatic pig waterer made with the pig drinker nipple or nipple setup.

We are constantly having to clean & refill pig waterers several times a day here on the homestead, so I decided to try these automatic pig drinker nipples a shot. This way the pig's water stays much cleaner & you are not constantly having to refill the pig's water all the time, bc you use a food grade drum or barrel for your pig's water.

I just used a 3/4" drill bit, which is slightly smaller than the drinker nipple, & then put some silicone on the drinker nipple to prevent any leaks, & screwed the pig drinker nipple in the food grade drum & let the silicone dry overnight.

The next day I set the automatic pig waterer in the pig pen & filled the automatic waterer up with fresh water & even added some organic apple cider vinegar to the waterer, & that is it! Super EASY!!

Now I am a little apprehensive if the american guinea hogs will actually use it, since they are mature pigs, but I thought it was worth a shot to try & train the pigs to actually use the automatic waterer, & I might even put some molasses on the drinker nipples, & see if that will entice the american guinea hogs to bite down on the drinker nipples & then the pigs will realize that water comes out of the drinker nipples & that there is clean fresh water in the drum.

I will keep you updated on this automatic pig waterer & let you know how it works here on the farm, and if the american guinea hogs actually get use to the drinker nipple system & start to use the automatic pig waterer or not. So stay tuned for the pig waterer updates!!

I hope you enjoyed this youtube video on the automatic pig waterer & watering system using the pig drinker nipple system!
