What about planting tomatoes upside down in a suspended container, you could do a combo and plant some clover on the top side to fix nitrogen. This will also help control the nutrient you add for the tomato.

You know... someone else had mentioned that to me a few times before. I have plenty of space up. As I am limited on space in the actual garden itself. Maybe I should check into it more.
