You read it. PUPPIES!!
This beautiful mama had nine sweet babes.
It was a twenty hour labor due to one being stuck, resulting in its death, as well as the three pups behind it. So technically she had nine surviving babes.
We were preforming mouth to nose, accordian method, and smacking them on their backs to get them going again, but nothing was bringing them back.
While this experience was heartbreaking, it was also a learning experience.
The entire birth process was a beautiful thing to watch and help with. Hazel (mama) handled everything so well, and we couldn't be more proud of her for that.
(She was pretty excited about the super premium icecream she got in between each pup)
