IF I USE IT, IT WILL BREAK😁
Our Ford Ranger has been an amazing truck, and has been very dependable.
*Here she is, as I used her to move the chicken coop to the homestead.
She has been an absolute blessing. She was free, as my father was nice enough to let me have her.(he tried selling it for a while and I guess didn't have any luck.)
Anyway, she has been in need of some repairs for a while, and a couple days ago she broke and wasn't driveable. Her gearshifter broke inside the steering column and required surgery.(like me🤣😂)
*Here she is with her dash ripped open and steering column dropped down.
THE FIX
So, after seeing exactly what broke, it was off with a friend to a junk yard to get a "new" one. Below is a picture of her broken shifter...
Once back at the homestead, it took a few hours and she was all back together. The whole job was a little more of a hassle due to my hand. It was real sensitive the last couple days and I moved slowly, being ever so careful not to bump it. Speaking of that, my surgery for it is this coming Wednesday...so please, keep me in your thoughts and prayers. @samstonehill send me some good vibrations brother, as I am scared to death of doing this surgery.
BACK TO THE TRUCK~~OTHER REPAIRS
I replaced the front tires a week and a half ago with some used ones, due to cords coming out of the old ones...and they shook really bad.😁
I replaced the driver's side outer door handle, as it broke and I could no longer get in my truck without leaving it unlocked.
Also, both my rear springs have broken, and will need replaced. I have acquired used ones for free, but putting them on is a two day job with help from a friend. So they will have to wait.
THE DAM
The recent bad weather, crazy rain, and the tree falling on the water reservoir(along with truck repairs) has caused me to fall behind on building the dam.
I have however, managed to make some progress and would love to share pictures with you all!!!
*A picture from the downstream side.
I have built the clay base the full length of what will be the dam. From one side to the other it's about 18 feet(6 meters).

Wow! Cords coming out of tires is extremely worn.

For the operation, if it's gotta be done it's gotta be done.
You are in my thoughts however and I wish you all the best with it.
Amazing work with the truck and the dam!
