It's always interesting to learn how others see their homeschooling experience. I was thinking the exact same things about parents using public school so they can take a break from their own kids. I have a friend - a stay-at-home mother - that dreads the idea of holidays and having to do stuff with the children.She told me she insists on sending them to bed early, even though they don't have to get up early during the holidays.
By the way, we are big fans of Khan Academy. Has your son checked out the coding section on the site? My 9 year old was thrilled by it!
