This is what happens under an NDP government. There is no change in the "Murder By Poverty" policy by the provincial government. Where are people supposed to live? Why is the government enforcing a radical agenda of poor hating and attacking? This government was supposed to work for the poor. Why are they completely unable to step up? What is holding governments everywhere back from pursuing intelligent, rational social programs? What method is the 1% using to force countries across the globe to murder their own citizens with policies like this? Why is no progressive private person stepping up and offering space on their land for the campers? The media narratives of crime and violence are only there to create fear so that the homeless can be persecuted continually. This is open and blatant torture of innocents in order to enforce the corporate order of fear and repression so that others will never dare to strike, to ask for higher wages, to expose corporate corruption and lies. This is no different than putting individuals in cages in a public square as they do in Saudi Arabia, to set an example so that none will dare to stand up to power. This is nothing short of Machiavellian sadistic torture of the people. If you are a concerned citizen I urge you to do more than just call the government. I urge you to start reading independent media, to read Chris Hedges' books on the current culture of corporate power and control via corporate media, and understand that this medieval torture of those who dare to live outside the mainstream of tax harvesting culture we now live in, is completely and utterly morally bankrupt and in fact constitutes a crime against humanity.
From Facebook (because I have yet to figure out how to place a facebook post into this blog, if anyone wants to tell me please and thank you):
"Happening now!
Homeless Camp Namegans Nation are now being evicted from Goldstream Park this morning (Thursday, September 20th) at 11:00 am.
This is the 3rd eviction for the camp in one week.
“Our tent city has been targeted non-stop for a week now,” Gagnon said. “People have nowhere to go.”
If anyone has a vehicle and can provide rides to campers that would be so helpful.
Also, call and demand that the decision to close Goldstream Park is reversed.
