My partner decided to decorate above our cooker with Mt-tape which is a one sided sticky tape from Japan to decorate your house. It reminds me in some ways like wallpaper and is pretty versatile to use.
I for one love the symmetry and it is better than the original splash guard that is a light yellow colour
