This is our junk drawer. Everyone needs one of these, so this doesn’t count.
I’m a chucker, a tosser, a throw it outer, a purger of all things unnecessary.
I don’t like stuff. Mostly stuff that we don’t need or use. This whole last year, I’ve been going through our house and deciding what was necessary and what we can do without. I’d either toss the stuff out or try resell it.
The hard part is getting started. As much as I couldn’t wait to clear out, just looking at the task at hand was mentally draining. But it got done, little by little. I think the only thing I had a hard time going through were the kiddos’ toys. They gotta have some toys to play with but where’s that line between just enough toys and too many?
I’m getting so close to completing my goal. Aside from my husband’s things that I oh so wish he would let go of (he’s a hardcore saver) I only have a closet left that’s filled with clothes I’m trying to sell online. Part of me just wants to give in and donate the clothes to get it over with. But the other part of me can’t help think I’d be missing out on some cash I could get back.
I’d love to have this closet cleared up for storing things we actually need.
Maybe one of these days I’ll break down and donate it all. We’ll see. What about you? Are you a saver or a purger?
