When this client first approached our team, they had an idea in their mind, but without a clear vision of what it would look like. At the start, all they knew was that they wanted to transform their plain (but pretty and functional) backyard.
They envisioned a lush retreat that feels elegant by day and enchanting at night. With this information in mind, we used our skills to create realistic green installations that contributed to a vibrant outdoor transformation.
It has an attractive design, serves its purpose well, and requires very little maintenance.
The Problem large artificial ivy hedge wall backyard privacy screen designer plantsWhen the client first reached out to us, their backyard lacked character. The space had good bones, a nice deck, an open area, and some established trees, but it felt cold, especially at night when the only beauty was the RGB light.
During the day, it was bare. At night, it turned into a dark, unused corner of the property. The client wanted to change that.
The goal was to design an outdoor space that felt vibrant and inviting. While they thought of using real greenery at the start, they eventually decided against this approach because they didn’t have time to maintain their new decor, i.e., they wanted it as low-maintenance as possible.
Since we’d already worked with lighting as decor when installing an artificial green wall, our team immediately saw the potential. The goal was clear: create a green fit-out that looks great during the day, is dramatic at night, and withstands Australian weather year-round.
We took on this project because it had the potential to showcase how a smart combination of fake outdoor plants can transform a simple backyard. And we can’t wait to show you the results.
During the Process modern house exterior with faux hedge wall and garden plants designer plantsThe client’s vision was to create an entire backyard that feels warm, relaxing, and modern. They wanted to enjoy their space both during the day and under the evening glow of garden lights.
Once we got their brief, we planned the layout and chose the types of artificial greenery we thought would benefit most.
We began by studying the structure of the yard. A big boundary wall stood out in the space, which could serve as a great backdrop for vertical greenery. The sitting area with timber decking also looked like it needed some soft faux plants to balance it out.
We proposed combining two of our best-selling solutions: the Jasmine Leaf Screens Panels for uniform wall coverage and the Luxury Evergreen Rainforest panels for a rich and textured look. This pairing provided visual variety and a natural flow from one area to another.
We also suggested using large outdoor plants in front of the green wall to add another layer and create more depth.
Connie, our Operations Manager, guided the client throughout the process and provided bespoke advice for placement and maintenance.
