I reached my ancestor’s place yesterday. It feels relaxed and pleasing to be here. Last time I was here, I celebrated my first Diwali of Rajasthan after being adult and it was a blast. This time, I am here to celebrate, the festival of colors.
I had my favorite dish today in lunch sabji of onion leaves and a bajra bread. It’s one of the yummiest dishes, I have ever tasted. Additionally, it tastes better in Rajasthan than in Delhi or Assam. I feel it is probably because of the environment. Our digestion capacity increase.
Rajasthani people generally doesn’t consume rice, they are more comfortable with bread. But I have lived around 20 years of my life in Assam and a day without a bowl of rice is a day without food. I have the privileged to win the ovarian lottery just like the Oracle of Omaha, Mr. Warren Buffet.
In my childhood, I was very fond of playing in desert. Those were the most amazing moments, making houses and pathways. Moreover, I used to consume lots of kaweda, ice cream. It’s a local ice-cream of Rajasthan. It’s very smooth and yummy too.
You too might have attached memories to your native place and home too. Whenever you have the chance grab it. I went to a get together yesterday as well as today. The most amazed thing was to see a lad wearing saree and he was dancing too. They put on those clothes just to make other people smile.
Hope this Holi you add a new color to your life :)
