It doesn't get better than this 💘

A few weeks ago @flowerbaby got herself a pair of Hoka shoes. These have become widely popular and many people claim they are the most comfortable shoes ever. She found a pair of all-black ones used on one of her shopping apps and got them for under $50 I think, which is less than a third of their normal price. She likes them a lot and she got me to look them up to see what colors they had available. I was surprised to find out that they had all sorts of cool designs that really seemed like my style.

I haven't bought a new pair of shoes in a long time, I have so many already. I certainly have never paid $165 for a pair of shoes. Yet here I am wearing shoes that cost that much, all because of @flowerbabay. It pains me to accept gifts, especially ones this expensive. It becomes a lot easier to accept and say thank you when I see how excited it makes her to gift me something. She came walking into my apartment with the biggest grin ever on her face.

The reason she gave me these before Valentine's Day is that she knew my poor feet could use the support now that I'm on them again so much with my Instacart job. These Hoka M Bondi 7's are platform shoes. They make me about half an inch taller and this somehow makes them so comfortable to wear.

I'd say they are easily my most comfortable shoes and I will be wearing them all of the time. I usually horde up my shoes and only wear them with specific outfits, but she got me these to wear often as work shoes. I just can't believe that somebody outside of my parents loves me so much that they are willing to spend a great deal of money on me like this. I truly am so lucky to be in this relationship. I cannot even begin to thank her enough for the shoes.

The colors she picked out just show how well she knows me. I looked at this exact pair when I first searched for the shoes. I didn't even tell her these were my favorite ones, yet somehow she knew and managed to surprise me with them. They are basically Charlotte Hornets colors. Purple/Green/Blue. I just can't stop drooling over how good these shoes look and feel.

I wore a pair of Pumas to work for a few days last week. They gave me such bad blisters that my heels were in pretty bad shape. I knew I could never wear them again. This Hoka on the other hand is like my feet getting a spa day instead of being tortured.

She of course got me the right size and they fit perfectly. I haven't had a new pair of shoes like this in so long and I'm beyond thrilled to have a reason to wear them daily. I will be obsessive about trying to keep these pretty things clean, so hopefully, my deliveries don't take me to too many muddy yards.

Not only did she get me these shoes, but she also got me a bunch of new socks. I needed socks very badly. Most of mine was several years old and many were starting to get holes in them. I told her this during a casual conversation and the very next day she was out buying them for me. Now if that isn't a sure sign of love, I don't know what is.

My feet are set up to have a great 2023, all thanks to @flowerbaby.
