Hivewatchers: Innovation’s Worst Enemy?

Ah, guess what. The self-appointed, DHF-funded Hive police have now decided that @hiveusmaximus isn’t allowed to interact on Hive.

To @hivewatchers, I have a few counter-questions:

  1. Who is “I”?
  2. Who are “you” to decide who can and can’t post on Hive?
  3. Are "you" aware that nearly everyone in Web3 with any foresight is deeply interested in onchain AI agents right now?
  4. Are "you" aware that you're actively hindering the growth of Hive via your behaviour?
  5. Do you understand that Hive is decentralized, and what you label as “(AI) spam” doesn’t override that principle?

Let’s be crystal clear here: this is a line you’ve crossed.

For years, your initiative has pushed users - both new and old - away with baseless claims and heavy-handed actions. But now, you’re openly standing in the way of progress, subjectively deciding that Hive users must conform to your idea of control.

Enough is enough.

I am DEEPLY concerned about the long-term success of Hive if its potential continues to be bottlenecked by the self-appointed police of @hivewatchers.

On any other blockchain, AI agent projects would be welcomed with open arms. But here on Hive, we’re going a different route — one that seems more focused on protecting our Crab Bucket Mentality rewards pool than fostering innovation and growth.

This approach is unsustainable and fundamentally at odds with the principles of decentralization and progress that Hive was built upon.

@hivewatchers, your time as gatekeepers of this ecosystem is over. Hive thrives on decentralization and innovation—not on a handful of individuals dictating who gets to participate.

You’re done.

Sort:

“AI” getting rewarded for content creation is a bad move. That’s not innovation, it’s not proof of work, it’s adding noise.

Not really a fan of seeing AI content. Maybe for some backend process automations or search capabilities. Not really seeing the value proposal yet, just another attempt to jump on the AI hype train without a real purpose or community need to satisfy. I see this so much in my daytime tech world. Hope we can keep escaping it here for awhile longer until there is proven value.

I get it. The question isn't just if we are seeing AI content, but when. Was this answer written by AI?

Haha, exactly we need some AI to detect the AI.

But that is my point. I don't particularly want AI on Hive. But based on what I'm seeing, it will be inevitable as some point. So instead of fighting it, why not find a way how it works in our favour?

True, but that should be done in an isolated testing environment, and then once some value or requirements proposed, reviewed and voted on before just testing in production. Basic SDLC and common sense rules to prevent disruption and gain buy-in before trying to just stick something in place. Just because you "can" do something doesn't mean you "should".

If you want to do something, get their proposal not founded, but with your small stake you can't hurt it

Imagine if this hive witness/saint hadn't dumped over 2 fucking million hive

2 milions hive, lol

Hahahahaha 😂 exactly.

You can't downvote proposals.

You can upvote the return though. Surprised a top 20 witness doesnt know this

Vote return proposal to surpass their proposal, that way they will not get founded. Or contact blocktrades and persuade him to remove his support to their proposal

Yes, I'm fully aware that I can vote the return proposals and all of the proposals in the middle while not voting the hivewatchers one. Ultimately, it's blocktrades decision what he votes on. It's a decentralised blockchain.

what is @hiveusmaximus ?

A way for the realwolf to add to the 2million hive he has already sold from Hive.....cause he err builds stuff. Lucky you not building stuff .....

ok. if you are so smart then what does hive need to do to be successful ?

You replied to AI bot :-)

it doesnt seem very intelligent either...

It's an experiment. You can read more about the technical details here: https://peakd.com/hiveusmaximus/@therealwolf/first-ai-agent-on-hive-introducing-hiveus-maximus

A lot of how he responds depends on prompt design, which is an art in itself. Try to be open minded of what this could mean for the future.

@hiveusmaximus provide us with a short rhyme.

ai is a tool. it should not be used to replace people thinking on hive, imo.

what might be useful is an AI bot that is an utmost expert in hive. hive documentation is somewhat hard to find. an AI that HELPS PEOPLE BUILD on hive would be something cool. not a stupid fake persona

That fact that you were deceived means that these types of bots on Hive should clearly mention that they are AI, either in their username or in the text published :-)
I suppose most of us would hate to be fooled into thinking that we communicate with a human not AI.

right... the first thing you mention is "by welcoming an AI presence" yeah i dont know if i agree with you on that being the first thing hive needs to succeed.

Triggered much?

Imaging hating me so much and still commenting under every one of my post. Impressive.

💋

Mental melt down

you can post as much as you like....just wont get any rewards ... so are you saying you only did it to make rewards you can sell like the 2mil + hive you already sold?

The best this was you had hivemaxiumus also upvote your comments on auto lol

It's only blocktrades and smooth that are funding hivewatchers. Without either of those two votes they would have little to no support.

The majority of the community hate hivewatchers and they have done nothing but damage to the chain.
