I enjoyed this production quite a bit. Or it must be that I love making advertising videos in restaurants because I always end up eating something delicious.
In this video the protagonist is Patacón, a dish from the Zuliana region that has managed to position itself in the rest of the country.
The base of this gastronomic wonder is the green banana which is chopped and then crushed and then fried. Here are some of my best stills. Yes, because despite using different resources I always end up using elements of cinema to make a visual piece of seconds. I must admit that making such short videos has another type of impact and difficulties when producing.
However, I love being able to work at different angles to give the most drama through the Broll and thus get people to focus on the dish. The restaurant will always want to sell what it prepares and the networks are the mirror of reality, so you have to give it a lot of value. Unfortunately, not everyone gives it the value that I give it beyond the monetary.
Within my job offer there are packages in which I charge each vertical video for social networks at $50 including equipment, filming, color correction, editing and sound design, it is quite little for 6 hours of work on site and 12 hours of work to finish and have a visual product ready to mount on networks.
The chef who prepares this Paracon is my friend, he is passionate and it has been a challenge to record this type of videos because in real life the dish takes less time to prepare but filming it can take 6 hours, so patience is a fundamental part if You want a professional result. I have gone to other places to work and they get annoyed hahahaha and I am quite eloquent and fun in my work environment, this is because I am passionate about what I do and I really enjoy eating.
