Italy was almost at the top of the Group G and most favorite to cling the round of 16 level, all they needed against south Africa was a draw but the weaker south African side needed a win, at 11th minute Italy got a penalty which was ultimately converted to a goal.
At this point impossible was understatement on the African side qualifying for the round of 16. But guess what?
At 32 mins south Africa got a goal and equalized, at 67th mins south Africa got another goal and started leading. Wow...what a wonder!!
At 74 Italy also equalized...at this point I said otilo for South Africa.
Now at 90 mins the score line was still 2-2. South Africa is just few seconds away from landing at cape Town.
Guess what?
At 90+2 mins South Africa got another goal low and behold it was Full-Time. The match Ended
South Africa 3-2 Italy.
