Rainy Day Blues

The extended weekend, brought on by consecutive workday cancellations due to heavy rainfall, made it challenging for me to rediscover my work rhythm. Despite waking up early and adhering to my routine, with the conviction that I was ready to plunge back into work today, I found that I simply wasn’t in the right frame of mind.

Despite the tropical storm exiting the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 2 AM (GMT +8), as reported by PAGASA, the Philippines' weather bureau, the skies remain overcast with frequent downpours.

My muscles were still aching from yesterday's squats, yet with a renewed eagerness to pursue my fitness objectives, I decided to do a few sets of calf raises. Calf raises target a different muscle group and don't require much time. Later, I considered that I might have been better off combining the squats and calf raises into one session yesterday.

Several hours later, I suffered from toe cramps. I cannot be certain if they were a consequence of the calf raises, but it seems likely. Perhaps I need to focus on exercising more consistently and allocate additional time for warm-ups and cool-downs before and after workouts.

I'm hopeful that the weather will improve tomorrow, and that my determination to resume work will strengthen as well.
