Philippine - Spanish Coin (Pesetas)

in #hiveph3 years ago

I really started coin collecting with Philippine coins and most of them were non silver items because with all honesty i never knew coins before were made of silver. As my collections adds up as well as my learnings not just about the coins, but as well as its significant historical value which i became more incline to.
It was with my first encounter with Pesetas that i became more interested about such coin as the seller explained to me about its history that it was greatly part of philippine history since it was the monetary system used by SPAIN wherein we were previously part of its colonized countries.

Hello @psychkrhoz. You have a nice collection started there. It's great you started with coins that give you the history of your country. I'm doing that also with historical coins in the U.S.

Keep on the lookout for the remainder of the coins to complete the set. Good luck.

Thank you for sharing.

Awesome! You even have the older 19th century Pesetas too.
Spain has a great history of Coins over the centuries.

Those are very nice!
How are you don't with the silver coins of the your country that was minted in the US?
I'd love to get hold of those, @psychkrhoz!

US-phil coin have two key dates (1906 and 1913)that were considered hard to find, the hardest is the 1906 san francisco mint only few survived after the recall since the price of silver at that time skyrocketed it minted back with lesser silver content and smaller in diameter compared to the previous years (1903-1905). Unfortunately i don't have both those dates indicated.

I just saw a typo, or my spell checker is at it again!
Okay then, let us both look for that, @psychkrhoz 😀😆😜!!!

Yay! 🤗
