I've been stuck in the city since the entire metro was placed under quarantine in March. No one is allowed to travel between provinces or even outside of the country unless it is absolutely necessary. And so, I had to take my craving for travelling on Sims 4.
I have been an avid Simmer since it started, and is currently playing Sims 4 where I own most of the Expansion, Game, and Stuff Packs.
If you haven't played Sims 4 yet, one way to enjoy the game is to complete aspiration challenges. And this article will focus on one of these aspirations - Beach Life.
As most aspirations, should your Sim complete Beach Life Aspiration, he or she will be rewarded with the "Laid Back" trait which will virtually make your sims to never feel tense again. This is absolutely important as being extremely tense can lead your sims to feel much discomfort in the game, and some discomfort can lead to extreme emotions which can make your Sims die if left untreated.
Anyhow, back to the Aspiration Challenge called Beach Life. This aspiration can only be played if you own the expansion - Island Living. Check out the beautiful world of Sulani -
My main Sim to complete this new aspiration is Kason Goth. He is a descendant of the very popular Goth family of the Sims franchise. This emancipated Sims lives on his own in a chic home located in the City of San Myshuno. However, he is very much interested in moving to Sulani when he finishes college. He'll probably work as a conservationist or biologist, but he still needs to finish senior high.
Some Tips to Complete the Aspiration Beach Life
You start this aspiration as a tourist, and you have three goals to complete - Get a suntan, Earn gold in a Kava party, and finally, Eat a coconut. Now, this would have been a simple goal to complete, except I realized that Kason is not allowed to drink Kava at all since he is still a teenager. This is a problem since, I will not be able to move forward with the game if I don't use a cheat code. Here is the cheat code to skip a milestone in your Aspiration Goal.
- Use Ctrl + Shift + C
- Type "Testingcheats True"
- Type "aspirations.complete_current_milestone"
Where to find a coconut in Island Living?
The other challenge I encountered was, I couldn't find the shack that will allow me to buy some beach supplies and coconut. I tried climbing the coconut trees around the beach resort but the game wouldn't let me. It was frustrating. So I had to research to find out if there are other players who have been experiencing the same difficulty. I realized I wasn't alone. Luckily one simmer said that the beach provision shack can be found on the main Island of Sulani (bottom right) not far from the party hall, just follow the road on the bottom right of the map. You will not miss the vendo looking machine that's on the street.
The rest of the goals after that are pretty easy to complete, just note that the cave is on the top right corner of the map, and is on the Mua Pel'am Island near the ship wreck. The cave may be a little challenging to find at first, it's located against the rock face just near the shipwreck. One milestone will ask you to explore its cavern, and should you get lucky, you might get a mermaid kelp which can turn you to a mermaid.
Notice that on the right side of the wall of the cave you can find an incomplete mural. It is said that multiple journey in the cave will complete this mural. I have yet to do that, and I really wonder what it looks like. I am sure Kason would love to find out one of these days.
Here is the complete list of goals that your sim needs to complete to get that much coveted "Laid Back" trait.
