Our First (official) Rescue: Pelusa LIVES...what's next for her

Once she was rescued from nearly being slaughtered by a pack of dogs, Pelusa was checked out at a vet, got rehydrated and fed. But she had to be released back out close to where she had been, for a few reasons. It was apparent that she might have living kittens someplace still, who we would not want to keep her from going back to. For the fact of the somewhat recent birth and her need to gain strength and weight, she could not be spayed just yet, but she will be.

This is Mymba UNI. They are the kind hearts who we are responsible for the ongoing efforts in this area. They need a lot more support. A lot. @meveronicas and I are so grateful that they are doing what they are doing. I would like to document their ongoing efforts, those who are willing to share. For instance, all of the "refugios" which are at private homes. (Mymba UNI is also on facebk and insta)

In this neighborhood in particular there are still great numbers of both dogs and cats who are living in the streets injured, sick, starving and abused simply for existing, and having more litters constantly. One of the most important efforts we are focusing on is to have sterilized as many of the critters without homes, first and foremost and also to encourage and help the humans who have cats and dogs in their families, to have them sterilized and provide them clean drinking water every day rather than leaving them to find whatever is pooled in the gutter, for example.
Castrations and other medical services are provided through the Veterinary school clinic. But they can only help as much as they can afford to cover financially, at least for the cost of supplies.
Our intention here and now is to post the goals to meet and costs, connected with documenting the stories and portraits of the little ones, as much as possible and track the progress and the journey . Also, inviting community members to enter the Hive themselves. This might be tricky as I am far from proficient, but let's go.

We'll go to visit with Pelusa today as well as the shopkeepers who are feeding her now and make an update.
One more thing: I know from my experiences in Uruguay, that many of the most available, most open and loving people who take care of animals are in very, very "humble" circumstances for themselves and their own children, yes? When we can support these people by purchasing food for the animals and medicines and everything...there are more good-natured people who are going to adopt and care for the animals in need.

Nuestra intención aquí y ahora es publicar los objetivos a cumplir y los costos, relacionados con la documentación de las historias y retratos de los más pequeños, en la medida de lo posible, y seguir el progreso y el viaje. Una cosita mas: yo se por mis experiencias en Uruguay, que mucha de la gente mas disponible, mas abierto y amoroso quien cuida a los animales estan en las circunstancias muy pero muy "humilde" a su mismo y con sus hijos, si? Cuando podemos apoyar a esa gente con compra de alimento para los animales y medicinas y todo...hay mas gente de buena madera, que van a adoptar y cuidar a los animales que necesitan.
