The communites feature is a priority in the new Mission, Vision, and Values that can be seen on the about page. Also see Ned's post from earlier today.

But thanks for all your comments, it's much clearer to me now...
I am missing the "How to become a witness" link, and the page the specs the future job of witnesses, now that it does not require a lot of money to run a node, I wonder if that might remap the witness roster, as far as WHO are really willing to be the most professional witnesses?
AND what does that really mean; should witnesses be responsible for promoting the network as well?
