Hello Hive community, those who know me (my mother, my girlfriend and two other people) know that I love video games, I can spend hours absorbed in front of a screen and I am very competitive, I like almost all genres especially shooters, but there is a game, a damn game that hijacks my time and days go by without me realizing it... Minecraft. Yesterday taking a walk through the community Hive Gaming I discovered that not only is there content about this game, but they also have a server where there are people from the community with which to play and post progress.
Hola comunidad Hive, los que me conocen (mi madre, mi novia y dos personas mas) saben que me encantan los videojuegos, puedo pasar horas absorto frente a una pantalla y soy muy competitivo, me gustan casi todos los géneros sobre todo los shooters, pero hay un juego, un condenado juego que secuestra mi tiempo y pasan días sin que me de cuenta... Minecraft. Ayer dando una paseada por la comunidad Hive Gaming descubrí que no solo hay contenido sobre este juego, si no que también tienen un servidor donde hay gente de la comunidad con la cual jugar y postear los progresos.
Without thinking twice I started to investigate a bit to see the rules of the server, its IP and who were the creators, they play in version 1.16.5 (personally I would have liked it to be version 1.17.1 but I'm not complaining ) without security-craft type mods which would be appreciated but the server is starting and surely more things will be added later. My girlfriend @carlagonz and I turned to mining and building, they received us very well and made their gardens available to us so as not to starve while we created our place in this world.
Sin pensarlo dos veces me puse a investigar un poco para ver las reglas del servidor, la ip de este y quienes fueron los creadores, juegan en la versión 1.16.5 (personalmente me habría gustado que fuera la versión 1.17.1 pero no me quejo) sin mods tipo security-craft cosa que se agradecería pero el servidor esta empezando y seguramente mas adelante se agreguen mas cosas. mi novia @carlagonz y yo nos volcamos a minar y construir, nos recibieron muy bien y pusieron a nuestra disposición sus huertas para no morir de hambre mientras creamos nuestro lugar en este mundo.
I started in the usual way, looking for wood, stone, coal, iron... and then for a couple of hours playing the part of a mole I went to the surface to build my hut. It would not be the typical sad house of earth cubes that we have all ever made, this would be a real house inspired by a medieval church with its stained glass windows and others. Obviously this has taken me a long time and the search for diamonds and construction of mobs farms has been left for later, but since I'm sure I'll be around this server for a long time, I promise to do a couple of tutorials on the subject later .
Empecé de la forma habitual, buscar madera, piedra, carbón, hierro... y luego un par de horas haciendo el papel de topo salí a la superficie para construir mi choza. No seria la típica casa triste de cubos de tierra que todos alguna vez hemos hecho, esta seria una casa de verdad inspirada en una iglesia tipo medieval con sus vitrales y demás. Obviamente esto me ha tomado mucho tiempo y la búsqueda de diamantes y construcción de granjas de mobs ha quedado para después, pero como estoy seguro que voy a andar por este servidor un buen rato, les prometo mas adelante hacer un par de tutoriales sobre el tema.
I start my house by making a blueprint with stone blocks on the floor on which I erect four oak pillars, the idea is to have a ceiling high enough to have 2 floors and maybe an attic. For the roof I first had the idea of making it simple with a triangular shape but as I went along I realized how boring it was so I added a balcony on one side with a triangular roof but perpendicular to that of the house.
Mi casa la inicie haciendo un blueprint con bloques de piedra en el suelo sobre los que levante cuatro pilares de roble, la idea es tener un techo lo suficientemente alto para tener 2 pisos y tal vez un ático. Para el techo tenia primero la idea de hacerlo simple con una forma triangular pero conforme iba avanzando me di cuenta de lo aburrido que quedaba así que le agregue un balcón en un costado con un techo también triangular pero perpendicular al de la casa.
For the floor I used granite and andesite tiles in a checkerboard pattern because if I put a stone floor I would feel like I was in a dungeon. A few lamps give it a fancy touch and in the future I'll put rugs and a couple of redstone traps for the curious.
The roof was the most complicated because I had to square the oak stairs one by one and since I couldn't think of a better idea, first I placed earth blocks as a guide to put the stairs on top and then remove them, surely more than one will think that I did everything the hard way but little by little I will perfect the technique since I don't think it will be my definitive home.
Para el piso utilice lozas de granito y andesita en un patrón de tablero de ajedrez porque si ponía un suelo de piedra me iba a sentir en una mazmorra. Unas cuantas lamparas le dan un toque fancy y en el futuro pondré alfombras y un par de trampas con redstone para los curiosos.
El techo fue lo mas complicado por tener que cuadrar escaleras de roble una por una y como no se me ocurrió otra idea mejor, primero coloque bloques de tierra como guía para poner encimas las escaleras y luego quitarlos, seguro mas de uno pensara que hice todo de la forma difícil pero poco a poco perfeccionare la tecnica ya que no creo que sea mi casa definitiva.

Intentamos hacerlo en la versión 1.17 pero surgieron muchos problemas con los plugins y otras cositas. Estuve 4 días intentando que el servidor no crasheara, moví de todo, pero por alguna razón se complicaban las cosas. Decidí cambiar a la 1.16.5 y digamos que las cosas se hicieron algo más simples. El tema de los mods es algo que aún seguimos pensando, pero no creo que vaya a suceder pronto. Me alegra que estén disfrutando del servidor, un saludo. 🤠
Entiendo, igual no lo dije por criticar jeje. Disfruto mucho del servidor y me parece una iniciativa genial.
