Hey Guys
Once again, I'm back. I just wanted to thank you guys for the love and feed back on my last animation post. I really wanted people to think and try to grasp the video's symbolism and think deeply. So thank you again. With this recent animation i've made, I wanted to make something that wasn't so serious and more to my early 2010 animation edit roots.
Inspiration
My inspiration for this animation was the early days of call of duty video edits that people would create. I always thought it was awesome the way people would sync up the music and the gameplay so harmoniously. So I wanted to make something similar to that, but with an animation twist to it. I've also used some techniques from my metal crisis project that I've made 2 years ago. If you haven't already, you should check it out here.
Process
I pretty much used some old assets I had a little while ago. Basically metal gear online models with textures. I really love metal gear online, so I thought those models would fit very well with the animation. But I think the major thing that I must highlight in this project, is weight painting. It is the process after you add bones into a character.
Now, you're probably saying to yourself, "wow, look at those pretty colors". I have to tell you something. This is the most complicated process that you'll have to go through when it comes to rigging characters. You know how our skin moves or have facial movements to express our emotions? That is what you'll have to try to achieve when it comes to rigging. For an example, if you paint a character's head all red, the selected bone will fallow that, hmm...well I guess it's not that complicated. But still, there can be complication later down the road if a character isn't properly weight painted. Let’s just say I started having glitches with the character's face during the process of this project. 😕
As for the animation part, well there isn't all that much to talk about. I mean, all I pretty much did was make key poses and repeated that animation for the assault rifle and the pistol. I've had some experience in that department, because I went to the gun range myself. It can be pretty therapeutic in a way (lol). You can really blow of some steam while having an adrenalin rush.
The last and final part of course, is the video editing. I've also had a lot of fun making this part of the project, syncing up the music with the animation. The process of this was playing around with the time remap, making the video speed up and slow down on the music beats. Although, there were parts that looked a bit weird, but I think it turned out well in the end. Just a simple, short, sweet animation that took 3 weeks to finish. But I hope you guys like it as always. So here's how the animations turned out.
until next time, peace and thank you

3 weeks well spent. The vibes are right yet again for this one.
Me too!
I like that Hive logo on the locker. I’ve never been to the gun range myself, but this animation definitely showcases how therapeutic it can be.
We will have to play some MWII when it comes out. I’ve already maxed out my level on the beta and I think I’m finished playing it until the campaign drops. Third person is definitely cool, but I think I still prefer first person for COD.
I’m also hyped to play Century Age of Ashes on Monday and Deathverse Let It Die on Wednesday. Plus Overwatch 2 next Tuesday on October 4th. So many great F2P games dropping in the next week or two.
Mw2 beta was pretty fun, they definitely have to fix a few things. Man, I played let it die a long time ago. I thought it was okay, but I didnt like how grindy the game is.
I’m sure it’ll get ironed out. Looking forward to having more maps and weapons.
This new Let It Die is from the same people as the original one, but this one is multiplayer and a separate game. It might suck, but I’ll try anything that’s free.
Whew, this looks pretty cool! Last times I messed with animation in any way was with Pivot and an animation tool for Roblox; I did definitely try some ideas in those but of course they aren't that polished looking today due to the age and inexperience. It still would be fun to talk about those one day though, but in any case I'm impressed to see you do animation stuff as I never knew you did things like these :D
Yeah man, this is what I love doing and I'm glad you like the animation. :D You should definitely give blender a try, it's free.
Pretty amazing animation and edit. I checked your last animation too and I loved it. Keep up the great work! :)
Thank you, I'm glad you like it 😊
That was pretty awesome! You're getting good at this:D
Make sure to post it in the actual community next time btw as it will definitely get you more viwers!
Thanks man, I'll definitely do that next time.
