If you're a developer, investor or cryptocurrency savvy you know the answer. It's easier to feel motivated to participate if you know you'll blend right in or if you're looking for a specific piece of knowledge, or people to colaborate with. Otherwise, you may feel it's not for you. I'm here to tell you that it most likely is.
It may not be cheap (although during and afterwards you'll change your mind given the quality of the organization and the amount of treats you get), but there are several reasons to make it worth.
You have the interesting talks, the wonderful venues, the yummy food and drinks, free leisure time (you're free to leave us and go do whatever you want), organized leisure activities (boat trip ⛴), AND THE MOST IMPORTANT... Hiveians! You have users just like you waiting to meet you in person.
A cool thing about HiveFest... you may actually tell everyone "I'm just a regular user and I don't even post about a specific topic" and nobody will judge you. I know because that's me year after year!
If you have the chance to go to Split, do it. Worst case scenario you'll spend a few days in a beautiful place. You'll have the chance to meet some users you know from the platform, some you didn't know existed and you'll get to share some time with the big names (You can talk to them... they're nice).
Yes, you may taste delicious food, relax in great places, get updates on what's happening in the Hive ecosystem, perhaps get some investing tips, hang out with fun and inteligent people, and it's almost certain you'll go back inspired by the whole experience.

I found direct flights to Zagreb, but that is still too far away from Split... There are trains and buses... I suppose that I will need to go like that...
Sadly this year I’m out of leave time. Not a spare day left but I’d quite literally power down a certain amount to attend a future HiveFest. You’re right, these events are very inspiring and will often kickstart exciting ideas to pursue.
